Overview of Cool Beans System Info

Cool Beans System Info is a small program designed to monitor your system's resources.  Originally, the program only monitored the CPU usage, but now Cool Beans System Info monitors and shows:

  • CPU Usage
  • CPU Flags
  • Processor Information
  • Physical Memory
  • Swap File
  • Network Download and Upload Rates
  • Network Adapter Information
  • Running Tasks
  • Running Processes
  • CPU
  • Windows Information
  • Important Windows Folders
  • System Running Time

The critical variables are monitored in a three pane window, showing separate graphs for CPU, physical memory, and swap file.  The Internet upload and download rates are also displayed in the main window.

Several of the monitored variables are available in separate, "floating" windows, which can be viewed separately from the main window.  These "floating" windows also show the data in time-series graphs, so you can see how your resources change from second to second.

Window 2000/XP users can also take advantage of the alpha blending features of Cool Beans System Info.  The program windows' opacity is adjustable, allowing you to see "under" the program.  Floating windows can also automatically adjust the window's opacity depending on the data values.

Cool Beans System Info also includes a fully functional "task manager," allowing you to view running tasks and processes, similar to the task manager included in Windows 2000/XP.  Users of Windows 98 can now have access to a task manager without Windows 2000.

The many program features can only be discovered by using it.  Explore the program for yourself, and see what's going on under the hood of your PC!
